Because of these books I traveled to Europe, became Episcopalian, wanted to be a writer, loved suffragettes, tended to invite large crowds of people over for “Sunday night lunch,” and looked for a man who was TDH (Tall, Dark, and Handsome). ![]() Sometimes I tell people that the most important parts of who I am today can be traced back to a series of books my father read to me when I was a child. When you read a book as a child, it becomes a part of your identity in a way that no other reading in your whole life does. ![]()
